​Why IOC - Indivisible Oswego County?

Indivisible.org is the grassroots organization under which we reside as IOC - Indivisible Oswego County.

We are one of many smaller groups comprised of more than a million concerned citizens. But why align ourselves with another organization?

Local Indivisible groups build and wield power in ways that individuals can’t. To create change, you need the collective constituent power that comes with working together.

Action by action, day by day, group by group, Indivisibles are remaking our democracy.

In the last few decades, an alliance of white nationalists and the ultra-rich have been actively working to further undermine democracy and cement their hold on power permanently. Indivisible is a movement of thousands of group leaders and more than a million members taking regular, iterative, and increasingly complex actions to resist the GOPs agenda, elect local champions, and fight for progressive policies.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

We make calls. We show up. we speak with our neighbors. We organize. And through that work, Indivisible members have built hundreds of mini-movements in support of their local values.
